Cardenas Villas...an affordable, green community

About Cardenas Villas at Yanche Subivision

Cardenas Villas is the brainchild of numerous different entities concerned with green building in the Phoenix area.  It has designed with one goal in mind...providing quality homes at an affordable price.  Please spend some time on our site learning about what makes a home environmentally friendly.  You may be surprised!  The project had its preliminary designs completed by the Arizona State University Stardust Center for Affordable Homes and the Family in accordance with The Enterprise Foundation's Green Communities standards.

The project developer, Chicanos Por la Causa (CPLC), is one of Arizona's largest non-profit community development corporations.  They are committed to building stronger, healthier communites as a lead advocate, coalition builder and direct service provider.  Their programmatic approaches are aimed at providing the tools necessary to empower individuals, families, and communities to achieve their aspirations.  They offer numerous programs to help build our communities throughout the State of Arizona.  CPLC wanted to build a green, environmentally friendly subdivision where the homes were not only affordable to purchase, but affordable to live in.  In order to achieve their goal, CPLC partnered with ASU's Stardust Foundation, and with long time local builder, Woods Construction Company, and Cardenas Villas was born!

Each of the 3 floor plans featured in this community were designed, and built with three main focuses: affordable to buy, affordable to live in, and reducing the impact on the environment.  Each of the three floor plans has three available exterior elevations, with 6 different exterior color palattes available to diversify and beautify the community.  Come on, learn more here!

Two of the model homes have now been professionally decorated and staged by the talented design team at IKEA!
